A Lifetime Creating Architectural Wonders
This essay features some of the work of Balkrishna Doshi, the first Indian and South Asian to be awarded the Pritzker Prize for Architecture. The prize is internationally hailed as architectures highest honour and is awarded by the Pritzker family in Chicago and sponsored by the Hyatt Foundation. Doshi is the 45th Pritzker Prize Laureate.
He is credited for creating more than a 100 projects since he began his practice Vastushilpa in 1956. It has since been re-named Vastushilpa Consultants, and has five partners and sixty staff.
