Sampanthan urges Modi to push Ranil for the full implementation of the 13th Amendment.

TNA leader R. Samapnthan has urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pursue Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe to agree to devolve power to the North and East with Police powers. President Wickremesinghe yesterday had extensive talks with the Tamil parties on devolution but said that a devolution package could be implemented without giving police powers to the provinces. The TNA leader has written many times urging India to prevail upon Sri Lanka to implement full devolution under the 13th Amendment to the constitution. Which came into being following the signing of the Indo-Lanka accord between the two countries.
