State Minister Sudharshani Fernanadopulleurged the people to stay indoors as much as possible to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus,
She said that the death rate has increased by an alarming 48 per cent while the number of patients infected with the virus is rising.
The only way to combat the spread is to take all necessary precautions so that family units can take meaningful steps to avoid the virus and keep it at bay, she said.
She told the people to take protective measures without waiting for the government to enforce laws compelling people to adhere to those.
“We are going through a very crucial period and, be safe to overcome this difficult situation, “she said.
