Rev Fr CyrilGamini Fernando said that the Vatican City will soon make a statement on the Easter Sunday attacks that killed nearly 270 people.
He said a statement from the Vatican is expected soon on the Easter Sunday attacks.
It is in response to the letter sent by Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith to the relevant council of the Vatican that deals with injustice to Catholics.
“We have already seen some response from the Vatican in the form of a new item on the official website of His Holiness Pope Francis, and we await a written statement soon,” Fr. Fernando said.
He also lamented that this government does not listen to anybody on anything, what we see today is an attitude problem and it is evident through what is happening today as regards the Covid pandemic.
Fr Fernando said the silent protest on the 21st of August is not meant to topple the government but to change the attitude of the government.
