The wife of Veddah Chief Uruwarige Heen Menika has succumbed to Covid 19.
Heen Menika died while she was receiving treatment at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital. She was the mother of nine children.
Veddah Chief Uriwarige Wannila Aththo and his spouse offered Bees Honey to the Sacred Tooth Relic during the Kandy Esala Pagent, which was concluded recently.
