The inclement weather throughout the country has claimed at least 12 lives. This includes eight men two women and two children, the Disaster Management Centre said.
Deaths have been reported from Badulla, Matale, Mulativu, Puttlam, Kurunegala and Kegalle.
Meanwhile, a total of 28263 people from 7529 have been affected in seventeen districts.
During the inclement weather, a total of 802 houses were partially damaged while 13 houses were totally damaged.
