A box with communication equipment was discovered on the beach near the Mannar Army camp yesterday. Mannar Police said.
A fisherman in the area, spotted the unidentified communication box on the beach and informed, the security forces.
The STF bomb disposal unit was called in and found nothing disturbing.
Further investigations are underway.
