The Parliamentary group of the Sri Lanka Podu Peramuna met today, presided over by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapksa. Though the attendance was not satisfactory, the MPs present carried through a resolution expressing confidence in the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, former Minister Dullas Allahapperuma has had a one to one meeting with the President. Speculation was rife whether there were moves underway to appoint Dullas Allahapperuma as the Prime Minister. Mr Allahapperuma was not present for the government group meeting.
