Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva has sent a Letter of Demand (LOD) to Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa over the latter’s statement that General Silva was complicit in an alleged coup to overthrow the government.
Parliamentarian Weerawansa made this statement during the launch of his new book recently.
It is also alleged that the MP made similar allegations on a TV programme and on many other occasions.
