The Ministry of Agriculture will import 176,000 hatching eggs from the Netherlands instead of mother hens to solve the current shortage of poultry meat and eggs in the country.

The Chairman of the National Livestock Development Board, Professor H.W. Cyril, pointed out that 44,000 eggs per week will be received by our country within a month through this effort.

This was revealed during a discussion held at the Ministry of Agriculture this morning regarding the steps to be taken to quell the shortage of poultry meat and eggs in the country.
