Nightclubs in Colombo have been asked by the authorities to suspend operations because of the threat posed by the new covid variant which is likely to spread within the Colombo City.
Meanwhile, the authorities are contemplating to restrict the number of guests permitted for weddings too, since large gatherings would be a source for the rapid spread of the Coronavirus.
The number of guests would be restricted to fifty according to city Health Authorities.
