The United National Party has handed over the name of UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe to the Election Commission to fill the only slot the UNP has gained through the National List.
Mr. Wickremesinghe’s name was unanimously approved by the UNP working Committee which met recently.
The Election commission will now send the party leaders name to Parliament Secretary General and the Government Printer to be gazetted.
