President Sirisena addressing the media after the General meeting of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, which he leads now, after resting power from former President Rajapaksa. In the run-up to the 2015 Presidential polls Sirisena appealed for votes stating that a defeat would see him six feet under. He has now handed over government to those from whom he feared for his life only three years ago, accusing the UNP of plotting his assassination.
