One of the rare occasions Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickremesinghe participated together as President and Prime Minister was at an event to light up Mihintale to celebrate the Poson festival in June this year. Their Yahapalanaya came to an abrupt halt on October 26th, when the former sacked the latter and plunged the country into a constitutional crisis.
