Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena apportioned the blame on the railway strikers for the death of a student falling off the train roof today.
He said that he would inform the Inspector General of Police in writing to conduct an impartial investigation and take the necessary steps to punish those responsible for the murder.
He said that despite being given time tomorrow (13) to discuss the issues of the engine drivers, the trade unions are trying to resort to railway terrorism by staging a lightning strike, inconveniencing schoolchildren, students, and people going to work.
