Basil Sworn in as Finance Minister New Ministry to PM

 

Basil Rohana Rajapaksa this morning was sworn in as the Minister of Finance before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa hitherto held this portfolio appointed as the Minister of Economic Policies and Plan Implementation. The Ministry of Economic Policies and Plan implementation is a new ministry created by the President under the powers vested in him by the Constitution of Sri Lanka. The Gazette notification entailing the subjects and functions and the newly created ministry is annexed.
