Cardiologist and another, in the net for abusing a teenager

A cardiologist and another person have also been arrested for allegedly abusing “the fifteen-year-old girl” contacted through an internet portal. Many people are in custody to date including, the girl’s mother, Deputy Chairman of the Mihintale PS and a former State Minister of Maldives in connection with the matter. According to Police, the other person involved, taken into custody for trafficking the under-aged girl. The Cardiologist attached to a hospital close to Colombo was arrested in Bandaragama this morning while the other suspect arrested in Kiriwaththuduwa. So far, thirty-two suspects are in custody for sexually abusing the fifteen-year-old girl.
