The communist party of Sri Lanka has decided to vote against the Kotalawala Defence university Bill if the government fails to amend the bill to remove several clauses which will not augur well for the free education policies adopted by the country.

Matara District Parliamentarian Weerasumana Weerasinha reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction over the bill in its present form and said the Communist Party has decided to oppose it if the government fails to introduce necessary amendments.
He said there are good and bad features in the bill and oppose the unacceptable clauses in the proposed legislation.
