A forged document lands a female court registrar in trouble.

A female registrar attached to the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court has been arrested by the CID for allegedly preparing a forged document.

The registrar was arrested for fraudulently issuing a letter to the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration regarding a suspect that his travel ban has been lifted by the court.

The Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage had brought this matter to the attention of the Chief Justice and the Judicial Service Commission. The suspect had been arrested following a CID inquiry.
