Former Bribery Commission Director General Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe, who was interdicted in connection with a controversial audio tape involving businessman Nissanka Senadhipathi, has been acquitted by the Public Services Commission (PSC).

The PSC has arrived at this decision based on the reports issued by Moratuwa University and the Government Analyst’s Department.

In a report, the university said that the recording of a telephone conversation between Wickremasinghe and Avant-Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi has been edited.

Wickremasinghe is currently retired, and with this decision, she will be entitled to claim arrears for salary and other perks.
