TNPF leader and parliamentarian Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam was arrested this morning by the Kollupitiya police.
The police said that he was arrested on the charge of obstructing the duties of police officials in Wdamarachchi.
Yesterday, the Kilinochchi Magistrate slapped a travel ban on the parliamentarian on the same charge.
The members of the TPNF had allegedly held a meeting near a school in the area, obstructing the GCE (O/L) exams.
