Gas explosion destroys house in Kalpitiya.

A house in Kurakkanhena in Kalpitiya has been completely gutted by fire due to a gas explosion this morning. There had been seven inmates in the house during the explosion. A gas leak had led to the explosion, according to Police sources. A mother of an infant had gone to the kitchen to prepare milk for the baby, and the cooker exploded soon after igniting it.
