GI pipes case against Finance Minister Basil postponed for November 16

The case filed against Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former Director General of Divi Neguma Department Kithsiri Ranawaka for allegedly misappropriating Rs.36.5 million of funds belonging to Divi Neguma Department to purchase GI pipes was today postponed for November 16 by Colombo High Court.
The High Court fixed the case for November 16 without being heard today as per the circular issued by the Judicial Service Commission due to the spread of the corona virus
The Attorney General had filed indictments against Finance Minister and former Director General of Divi Neguma Department in the Colombo High Court for allegedly misappropriating Rs.36.5 million funds belongs to the Divi Neguma Development Department to purchase and distribute GI pipes during 2015 Presidential Election.
