GMOA tells the President to reconsider his decision.

The Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) has written to the President to reconsider his decision on the appointment of Ven. Murththetuwe Ananda Thero to the position of Chancellor of the University of Colombo. The GMOA states that the Venerable thero though a national figure and a Trade Unionist, does not possess the required credentials to hold the position of Chancellor. They have also suggested the President may appoint him to another suitable position. The letter written by the GMOA to the President is annexed herewith.(SW)
