  High Court Judge Sanjeewa Morais has taken oaths before the President as a judge of the Court of Appeal. Meanwhile, Justice Sobitha Rajakaruna of the Court of Appeal has been appointed acting President of the Appeal Court by the President in the absence of the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne.
