Horana Police today arrested Samagi Jana Balawegaya Horana organiser and former Parliamentarian P D Abeyratne, who allegedly shot in the air to disperse a group of people who had gathered at a land belonging to him. Police say that the former parliamentarian fired two shots in the air with his firearm, for which he had been issued a license.
