Ideological violence, most serious challenge- Prime Minister

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said that ideological violence is the most serious challenge facing the world today.
The Prime Minister made these observations addressing the first session of the Life Interfaith Forum which commenced yesterday in Bologna, Italy,
“Whatever the purpose, there must be constant vigilance against any form of terrorism, and the Covid plague has wreaked havoc on the entire human race. The Prime Minister also said that international cooperation should be strengthened to start people's lives to escape the epidemic.”
He also stated that Reconciliation is a critical need of our time. Conflicts and escalating tensions are all too evident around us. Peace and stability come from healthy relationships with all who live in our countries, including those with whom we have deep disagreements.
Finally, he noted that whatever the purpose, there must be constant vigilance against any form of terrorism, and that the Covid epidemic has wreaked havoc on the entire human race. The Prime Minister also said that international cooperation should be strengthened to start people's lives to escape the epidemic.
