Indian Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishanakararrived in Sri Lanka to participate in the BIMSTEC met with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today.

President Rajapaksa thanked the Minister and the Indian government for the financial help extended to overcome the difficult economic situation.

Minister Jaishankar also visited an IOC petrol station to observe fuel distribution.

The Minister tweeted that the IOC chief in Colombo briefed him on the fuel distribution situation.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan government has requested an extended credit line of another one billion US$ to import essential items.
