George Keyt’s  style was appreciated by both the English speaking elite and conservative Sinhala Buddhists.
Chandraguptha Thenuwara’s “Barrelism” portrays barrels and camouflage in many forms and media.   Thenuwara was amongst the 1990’s artists who opted to work within a very different framework of art compared to Keyt and the 43 Group.
