Mahinda Kahandagamage was remanded for financial fraud.

Former Municipal Councillor of Colombo Mahinda Kahandagama was today (20) ordered to be remanded till June 22 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court for allegedly defrauding Rs. 7 million.

The suspect was arrested by the Colombo Fraud Bureau upon a complaint lodged by a resident of Kandy alleging that he was defrauded by the former Municipal Councillor after promising to provide a house at an apartment complex belonging to the Urban Development Authority in Kompanna Veediya.
