Former Municipal Councillor of Colombo Mahinda Kahandagama was today (20) ordered to be remanded till June 22 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly defrauding Rs. 7 million.
The suspect was arrested by the Colombo Fraud Bureau upon a complaint lodged by a resident of Kandy alleging that he was defrauded by the former Municipal Councillor after promising to provide a house at an apartment complex belonging to the Urban Development Authority in Kompanna Veediya.
