Mannapperuma’s name gazetted

Ajit Mannapperuma’s name has been gazetted by the Election Commission to fill the vacancy created by imprisoned Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake.

Parliamentary Secretary-General this week informed the Election Commission that Ramanayke’s seat has been rendered vacant following the Supreme court ruling convicting him for the offence of Contempt of Court.
