MD and Chief Engineer Sakurai Aviation remanded

The Managing Director of Sakurai Aviation Ltd and its Chief Engineer have been remanded till January 18 today by the Colombo Magistrate’s court. They were arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) over the recent emergency landing of the private light aircraft close to the Bandaranaike international Airport Katunayakeinjuring two pilots and two foreign nationals.The CCD had arrested them on a charge of criminal negligence.
