Measures to combat the pandemic if it spreads even after the entire population is vaccinated.

If the Covid 19 is still unabated, after accomplishing the task of fully vaccinating the entire country, the government may have to appoint specialist committees comprising Medical specialists to devise a formula to abate the spread of the pandemic. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has reportedly said.
The President has pointed out that the government has accomplished administering the first dose of the vaccine to almost everybody, and at least 56% of the population has received the second dose too. The vaccination drive was such he was optimistic that a considerable number of people could be fully vaccinated, by the end of this month.
The President has also stressed the need to vaccinate youth under 30 at the next stage of the government’s vaccination efforts. He also has said the health authorities should decide whether the over the sixties need another booster to protect them from vulnerabilities.
