Hambantota district parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa says that he has a doubt about whether former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was advised by a person who led the Galle Face struggle regarding the use of chemical fertilisers.
“If not, I believe that a son of D.A. Rajapaksa, who was a farmer, will not deprive the farmers of their fertiliser subsidy,” he said.
Rajapaksa said this while he was addressing a SLPP rally in Hathraliyadda on Friday.
“For some reason, Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s government switched to organic fertilisers, which is a complete failure, Rajapaksa said.
