Navy to bring in Oxygen from India

Shakthi, a ship belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy, is scheduled to leave for Chennai from Trincomalee to bring in a consignment of Oxygen necessary for the Hospitals.
Sri Lanka has already placed an order for 100 metric tonnes of Oxygen from India every week to replenish the depleting Oxygen stocks in hospitals. There is more demand for Oxygen with the Covid 19 virus causing severe infections throughout the country.
