Navy and police joint operation helped to bust a massive drug ring.

The Navy and Police Narcotics Bureau jointly arrested five suspects along with heroin worth over 4000 million rupees which had been brought to Sri Lanka on a multi-day vessel.

Informed sources said there had been at least 200 Kgs of heroin hidden in the vessel.

During a joint operation in the deep sea by the Navy and the Police Narcotics Bureau, a suspected multi-day vessel was brought to the port of Devundara today (22) and this consignment of heroin was seized.
