Northern health workers are banned from using social media.

Health workers in the Northern Province have been banned from using social media while on duty, on the directive of Northern Province Health Services Director Dr. T. Sathyamurthy.

Dr. Sathyamurthy said that he received many complaints from the patients that health workers are always on social media and that they are not properly taken care of due to this situation.

However, permission has been granted for the use of mobile phones for duty purposes.
