OIC remanded for soliciting sexual bribe

The OIC attached to Wanathawilluwa Police Station arrested for allegedly soliciting a sexual bribe from a woman was today ordered to be remanded till November 16 by Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.
Chief Inspector Upul Pathirana was arrested by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in Puttalam when he was soliciting a monetary and sexual bribe from a legally separated woman after promising that he will intervene in to resolve a land dispute, in a way that benefits to the woman.
The officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruptions informed Chief Magistrate that they were yet to conclude the investigations regarding the incident.
