One more batch of SLA took off for Mali to join UN forces.

One more contingent of Army personnel to serve in the United Nations (UN) Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) left for Mali today (July 2).

This contingent comprises officers and other ranks of a number of regiments, including the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR).

Brigadier K.L.S.S. Liyanagama of the Directorate Movement and family members of the contingent were at the airport to see them off.
