One of the sextuplets passed away last evening owing to complications

Castle Street Hospital for Women said last evening that one of the six boys (sextuplets) who were born to a mother on Tuesday (17) has died due to a complication in the lungs.

These infants were born prematurely and underweight, weighing between 400 and 700 grammes at birth.

The infant passed away while being treated at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children.
