The parents of pastor Jerome Fernando yesterday tendered an unreserved apology for the controversial statements made by their son, which could trigger religious tension in the country.
They made the apology when they met with Ven. Omalpe Sobitha Thera at the headquarters of Sri Lanka Ramannaya Maha Nikaya yesterday.
Pastor Fernando, who has been accused of making statements that could trigger religious disharmony, is presently out of the country.
