The Public Health inspectors have warned that the third wave of the Covid 19 virus in the country has reached a critical stage.
If no effective measures are taken now there is a possibility that the virus may wreak havoc in the hinterlands of the country.
They called for stricter regulations to restrict movement saying that restrictions between provinces are not adequate.
If more PCR tests are done more people with the virus could be identified with a high increase of the virus in the country.
Meanwhile Dr Lakkumar Fernando participating in a recent talk show on a TV channel said that there definitely is a community spread. Health authorities have however discounted this.
