Port City to function as Colombo financial zone

Port City will shortly be transformed into an exclusive financial zone in Colombo with jurisdiction over offshore activities.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, speaking at the 2023 Commercial Mediation Symposium held at the Hilton Hotel in Colombo, said new legislation for the purpose is expected to be enacted by the end of the year.
