More and more consumers have been affected by power breakdowns within the last two days due to inclement weather conditions prevailed in the country, The Power Ministry said.
The total number affected stands at 177,000 up to date.
Districts such as Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Matale, Kegalle, Kurunegala, , Gampaha, Galle, and Matara, are the most affected by the gusty winds.
Certain areas Colombo have also been affected by the power outage, The Ceylon Electricity Board and the LECO are in the process of restoring the power.
