Large crowds gathered near the Presidential Secretariat demanding President Gotabaya Rajapakse to resign and go for a fresh mandate or redress the grievances of the suffering masses. The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) organised the protest march, which started from two locations in Colombo. Addressing the massive gathering, SJB Leader and Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa demanded that the government resign immediately. He said that paves the way for an efficient set of politicians to take over and run the country. "We will not have deals with any political parties. Our agreement will only be with the people.
