Parliamentarian Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said today that even though malaria, filariasis, and measles had been eliminated from Sri Lanka, those cases are being reported from several parts of the country.

He demanded the government take strict measures to solve the health problems.

Senaratne said that in order to build the economy, people have to live, and health means people’s lives.

“The health sector is directly related to people’s lives.” If the health sector collapses, we cannot restore it by providing immediate solutions in a day or two” , he said.
