Former SJB MP Ranjan Ramanayake has tested positive for Covid and will be taken for treatment to the Angunakolapelessa prison treatment centre.
Ramanayake is serving four year’s of rigorous imprisonment in the Angunakolapelessa prison for contempt of court.
He got permission from prison authorities to attend the funeral of a relative earlier in the week.
