Ravi,wife and daughter enlarged on bail

Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake MellaKarunayake and his daughter Onella were enlarged on bail by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court on Wednesday (22). They appeared before the court following a complaint made by former Governor AzathSalley, alleging that they had unlawfully broken into his premises in Wellawaththa and taken over the property. Following a complaint made to the WellawatthaPolice by Salley's wife whilst he was in custody, the police had summoned them several times. However, they had failed to appear. The police have reported facts to the Mount Lavinia Magistrates Court. Salley also filed a separate action alleging trespass of his property which he paid for. The case is to be heard on the 13th of January.
