Two suspects who were involved in breaking into the Maharagama Saint Mary Catholic Church six times and robbing donations and television sets were arrested today.

The suspects who broke into the church on May 30, July 24, and August 14 had robbed six television sets. The police managed to find five of them in their possession at the time of the arrest.

Maharagama Police said that two suspects were drug addicts, and they had been planning to sell the television sets in order to buy the substances when the arrest was made.

While five of the six television sets were on the premises of one of the suspects, investigations are continuing to find the missing one.
