Sajith queries the government about the price of the lottery.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said in parliament that the Finance Ministry should reveal the basis on which the price of a lottery ticket has been increased from Rs. 20 to Rs. 40. He also queried why the unnecessary expenses of the Institutions were not curtailed if their income had decreased. Premadasa said that even though the government promised to increase the commission given to lottery salesmen by 50 cents per lottery ticket, they will receive only a 25 percent increase.

"Why don't you arrange to give the remaining 25 cents to the agents? ", he queried.
